There is a wave of freshness and excitement vibrating throughout the landscape of music and she’s called GINGE. She boldly expands R&B and neo-soul influences with a range of more beat-oriented songs, freely merging her detailed songwriting, soulful voice and harmonies with fresh and progressive electronic sounds.
GINGE captures connection, freedom, fun and sensuality in a unique and refreshing sound. Her main theme? Deliberately choosing joy, vulnerability and confidence in a world filled with distractions, expectations and turmoil.

About me
Since I was 12 years old, I always been called Gingy by my friends. I think this nickname captures the colourfulness that I like to bring along in how I approach art, creativity and life in general. I’ve been writing songs for quite some years now and given my theatrical background combined with my hunger to sing with conviction, it’s always been the expression of feeling that took the forefront in my art.
I make music to be able to explain my feelings to myself first. It helps me to get the core of the onion. In that journey I’ve been working with loads of different producers, musicians, songwriters and people working in other creative disciplines as well. I found that I want people to experience joy in being multifaceted human beings figuring out our identity, through the stories that I tell with my music.
As of the last few years I also do songwriting for other artists, some acting, coaching for youths in music finding their voice or workshops at schools. I get so much energy from seeing someone else being proud of themselves in creating something out of nothing.
